3 Years from Launch, New Location Will Support Businesses Outside of Grove City
Cultivate, the non-profit startup incubator studio, is pleased to announce the opening of their London, Ohio entrepreneur center that will serve small & emerging businesses in Madison County.
“Entrepreneurs have to become experts in all areas of running a business in order to succeed, if Cultivate can help with resources in a few key areas then this can greatly improve their chances of success,” says Matt Yerkes, Founder and Executive Director. After selling the software company Yerkes founded, he turned his passion for entrepreneurship to helping others start & grow their own company. “I believe that for most of us, entrepreneurship is the best opportunity we have to change the trajectory of our lives to make an impact that will last generations.”
Cultivate is a non-profit that launched in Grove City Ohio in 2016 with the support of The City of Grove City and Rev1 Ventures. Cultivate Grove City supports over 20 companies, many of which are startups. Services include a mix of business incubator resources ranging from office rentals, coworking & business meeting space to educational & networking events, business advising and access to funding. Cultivate London will follow the same model of entrepreneur support it provides in Grove City by collaborating locally with the City of London, The Madison County Chamber of Commerce, The Madison County CIC, the Downtown London Association and other organizations in the area.
Cultivate London is located in the former City Council & Mayors office building at 6 East 2nd St. “This building is rich in history and has been an asset to the community since 1869 when it was built as the original fire department.”
The first company to move into the facility is OnSeen, a software firm that provides mobile workforce management software. “We are excited to have such a promising and fast-growing technology company as the first resident of our incubator space,” said Yerkes. Cultivate London expects to host small & emerging companies that will range from software firms like OnSeen to services companies that need an office and administrative space.
Cultivate London is offering free discovery consultations and office tours by appointment. Upcoming entrepreneur events will be posted on their website www.cultivateoh.io and Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter @cultivatesmb.
